Multiple holsters for multiple handguns is no longer an issue. The Blackhawk Omnivore is a multi-fit holster that accommodates more than 150 styles of semi-automatic handguns with and accessory rail. The active retention mechanism locks onto our proprietary Rail Attachment Device, not the frame of the handgun. A thumb release disengages the locking mechanism when drawing the handgun.

    Omnivore Multifit Holster

Posted by Jerid Smith on Aug 13th 2021

The holster seems very well made but actually trying to fit your firearm in it is kind of janky. If you don’t place your firearm in perfectly it will not go in unlike some holsters that basically guide the firearm right into retention. Although, it does work for a lot of different firearms it isn’t the greatest and takes some getting use to. Also, if you want to attach the holster to a mid ride or low ride strap they will not work because Blackhawk does not provide the proper screws to do so. The screws they provide are too short. All in all it’s a decent product for training on the range or maybe a shooting competition to hold several different firearms.

    Difficult assembly instructions

Posted by Erik Hoff on Aug 12th 2021

Wading through the constant Warnings and Cautions in the assembly instructions is making it nearly impossible to understand what to do to assemble the parts together. Your Legal Team has totally screwed up what should be a straightforward assembly process. I am very disappointed at best.

    Holster Review

The holster is comfortable and works great with Glock 45 with a TLR-1 and Trijicon Red-Dot sight.

Called customer support. Had to leave message.

I paid extra money for overnight shipping so I could use it for the weekend. When the product arrived, it was missing the screws for the light rail attachment. This made the product completely unusable.

    Versatility

Posted by Mitchell Corrado on Apr 30th 2021

While the Omnivore fulfills its mission of being one holster for multiple handguns, there is one minor drawback. Once the adapter is installed on the rail, the pistol won't likely fit in any other holster that you might care to use under different conditions.

Although I have yet to receive this one i have several others Blackhawk holsters. And they are as good as advertised. No reason to think this one will be any different.

    Great holster

Great holster for the price. Retention/release is very similar to applicable duty holsters, so muscle memory remains in tact when switching from duty to plainclothes wear. Great product.
